We support higher education institutions around the world
Voucher Codes - pay for your students' competition entries
We have a simple voucher code system for Universities that would like to pay for students’ entries. Complete our simple web form and we’ll send you a code to distribute to your students – they then enter it at the payment point when completing the online competition submission form, and we’ll send you a single invoice to collect the payment for all voucher code entries in one go.

Any tutor currently using the RSA briefs can request for us to come and give a (free!) talk to students at your college or university. These sessions provide an overview of the RSA ethos, briefs and competition process, plus some examples of past winning work. We usually speak to an entire cohort for an hour, including time for questions. We can deliver sessions for student outside of the UK either via Skype, video conference, or in person where our travel expenses are covered.

Tutor Briefing Events
At the start of every new academic year we host briefing events to introduce tutors to the programme and briefs for the coming year. Tutors from all higher education institutions and subjects are invited to attend the annual UK events, and we can arrange briefing events and inductions for Universities outside of UK where expenses are covered.

Howard Fenwick, Programme Leader Design for Industry at Northumbria University“We always look forward to the launch of the new RSA briefs - they’re tough, but they’re one of the best ways for design students to rehearse their skills. It’s the combined focus on design thinking, craft and research that draws us to the RSA Student Design Awards”
Rose Sinclair, Lecturer in Design Education, Goldsmiths, UAL“I think the judges are looking for how students actually approach a project, but what social aspects they are bringing in - how are they linking their project to the notion of the broader society and societal thinking? It's this notion that design is beyond consumables now; it's about people, and the places and space we live in.”
Malcolm Hastings, Senior Lecturer for BA Product Design, Birmingham City University“The RSA Student Design Awards sets a fantastic range of briefs that give students an opportunity to stimulate themselves and also promote themselves into their future careers - it’s about preparing them for the world of work, and the RSA is a fantastic vehicle for doing that.”
